This is something I didn't think I would have to write for a very l-o-n-g time. Seemed like a simple injury, a limp, a limp that persisted for a couple of weeks. Finally a series of x-rays were taken. I was shocked to learn the x-rays showed Jameson's spine was severely subluxated. Off to see the surgeon Dr. Fitch who recommended putting him in a cast to stabilize his spine.

A few days in this contraption and Jameson seemed on the mend. Then things took a turn for the worse. Because of the decline, and one week after being casted, the surgeon instructed me to remove the cast. I was horrified to see a mass growing on his cervical/thoracic area of his spine. The following day we visited Dr. Fitch and only then did I learn the extent of the mass. Jameson fought a brave fight and I miss him terribly. I feel blessed to have had such a wonderful dog in my life and eventhough it was too short a time I know his spirit will live on in the hearts of his children.
