History . . .

What an honor to be asked to write "The Cyndella Story" for Collie Expressions.

My love of Collies started when I was a child. I always had a sable rough as a companion; a best friend who was there through the ups and downs of childhood. When I had the thought, "Hey showing dogs looks like fun", I knew what breed I would get . . . a Collie.

I bought my first show dog in early 1996. She was an adorable 12 week old blue rough bitch that I named Cynder. Despite my handling errors she became Champion Marko's Outta The Blue when I finished her with back-to-back majors in February 1999.

I attended my first Collie Club of America national specialty in 2000 and was overwhelmed with the number of beautiful dogs exhibited. At this National I became smitten with one in particular, a smooth named CH. Keepsake Telesis, who sired the first Cyndella litter (December 2000). This litter marked the beginning of an appreciation, and love, for the smooth variety.

CH. Cyndella's It's My Party - 2003 CCA

In-breeding on who I feel was one of the greatest smooth dogs of that time, 2X Collie Club of America Best of Variety Winner CH Keepsake Telesis ROM, produced our first National winner CH. Cyndella's It's My Party, Kylee.

At the 2003 Collie Club of America, Kylee won the Bred-By class. She went on to win Best Opposite Sex to Best Bred-By as well as Best Bred-By Exhibitor Bitch (winning the Bettie Crawford Memorial bronze). It's My Party is the dam to six champions; including CH. Cyndella's Triple Shot, who is the sire of 16 champions, and MBISS Bronze GCH. Keepsake Builder Of Dreams, who won Best Opposite Sex to Best Of Variety at the 2014 Collie Club of America.

Blending in the respected family of Lisara, produced specialty winning and National placing dogs like BIS/BISS Bronze GCH. Cyndella's Yes, I'm Charmed, GCH. Cyndella's Miss July and GCH Cyndella's Promiscuous Girl.

CH. Cyndella's Enigma - January 2013

Needing an outcross, I incorporated a bit of Tallywood via Am/Can CH Tallywood Paradox, as well as a blend of Tartanside/Southland via CH Taliesin Lynmar's Kung Fu Panda. These boys sired BISS GCH. Cyndella's Enigma, GCH. Cyndella's Pandamonium (national placing and specialty major winner) and CH. Cyndella's Pandalicious (specialty major winner).

This "new blood" has allowed me to line-breed on some of of my favorites dogs such as CH. Cyndella's Triple Shot and GCH. Cyndella's Miss July.

Continuing forward with a Pandamonium daughter, CH. Cyndella's Dolled Up was bred to the Kylee son GCH. Keepsake Builder of Dreams to produce the tri sisters MBISS GCHB. Cyndella's I'm A Party Girl and Group-Winning G CH. Cyndella's Divatude.

My future looks bright . . .

July 2017: To date I have bred/co-bred forty AKC champions, one Canadian champion and finished four dogs not of my breeding but owned by Cyndella. I earned the Gold AKC Bred-By-Exhibitor medallion in July 2014 for having 10 dogs complete their championship exclusively from the bred-by-exhibitor class.

The ultimate all-breed award - BEST IN SHOW - was realized on July 14, 2013 with Silver GCH Cyndella's Yes, I'm Charmed.

"Sabrina" has exceeded all my wildest dreams in the show ring.
